Position Overview

Solairus Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Gulfstream G550 Captain to join their esteemed flight operations team at the KOPF airport in Opa Locka, Florida. This is a full-time, on-site position. The successful candidate will be a standout colleague, consistently striving for excellence in all facets of their performance. Key Responsibilities:

The Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safe and prudent conduct of all flights, adhering to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status prior to each flight.
  • Performing thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Conducting detailed assessments of weather conditions and facilities along planned routes and at all destination and alternate airports.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers and crew members onboard.
  • Accurately completing all required flight documentation in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 1500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) flight time.
  • Minimum of 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL) flight time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) flight time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours flight time in a Turbojet aircraft.
  • Minimum of 250 hours instrument flight time.

Specific Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Must hold a current type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft.
  • Must possess a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Must be available for on-call duty.
  • Must complete annual ICAO International Procedures training.
  • Must reside within a 2-hour driving distance of the KOPF airport or be willing to relocate.

Solairus Aviation offers a competitive compensation package that is reflective of market conditions, experience, equipment type, job duties, training, and assigned account. Crewmember salaries range from $50,000 to $500,000.
