Gulfstream G550 Captain Position – Baltimore, MD

Solairus Aviation seeks a highly skilled and experienced Captain to operate a Gulfstream G550 based at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (KBWI). This full-time position within a well-established, multi-pilot flight department supporting a Fortune 500 client demands exceptional performance and a commitment to Solairus Aviation’s culture of safety, service, and integrity. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member dedicated to the safe and efficient transportation of clients.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Safe and prudent operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft in accordance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures.
Comprehensive pre-flight planning, including meticulous review of aircraft maintenance status, adherence to the Aircraft Flight Manual, thorough weather analysis, and assessment of route and airport facilities, including alternates.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers and crew.
Meticulous completion of all required trip documentation.

Qualifications:

Total flight time: 3,000 hours
Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 1,500 hours
Multi-engine land (MEL) time: 1,500 hours
Multi-engine land PIC time: 500 hours
Turbojet time: 500 hours
Instrument time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications:

Gulfstream G550 type rating (or comparable aircraft type rating).
Current first-class medical certificate.
Availability for on-call duty.
Ability to complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
Residence within a two-hour drive of KBWI, or willingness to relocate.

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 annually, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience level, aircraft type, job duties, training, and specific account assignment.
