Solairus Aviation is seeking a Full-Time Client Aviation Manager for its operations at San Jose International Airport (KSJC). This senior role involves leading a flight department while also actively participating in flight operations on a Praetor 600 aircraft.

About the Role

The Client Aviation Manager (CAM) at Solairus Aviation in San Jose, CA, is responsible for the overall leadership and management of a corporate flight department. This position encompasses supervisory duties, training coordination, budget management, and active participation in the Safety Management System (SMS). Crucially, the CAM will also serve as a pilot on the managed Praetor 600, requiring adherence to all flight operational standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3,000 hours Total Time (TT)
• Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time
• Minimum 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time
• Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine Land PIC time
• Minimum 500 hours Turbo Jet time
• Minimum 250 hours Instrument Time
• Praetor 600 type rating
• First Class Medical Certificate
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a management background
• Ability to work on an on-call basis
• Willingness to complete annual ICAO International procedures training
• Must reside within a two-hour radius of KSJC or be willing to relocate

Qualifications

• NBAA CAM certification or equivalent leadership training is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned personnel to ensure compliance with Solairus, FAA, and other applicable manuals and regulations.
• Coordinate, schedule, and review crew and maintenance training.
• Coordinate maintenance test, training, and other flights.
• Develop scheduling procedures in conjunction with clients.
• Approve and schedule Paid Time Off (PTO) and manage expense accounts for assigned personnel.
• Participate in personnel interviews.
• Notify the Client Responsible Officer of anticipated pilot relief needs.
• Maintain training currency and monthly flight time records for each crewmember.
• Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
