Northern Jet is seeking an experienced First Officer (FO) to operate Citation XLS aircraft based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position involves supporting a mix of Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand missions, both domestically and internationally, with opportunities for assignments within two hours of the base.
About the Role
As a Second-in-Command on Northern Jet’s Citation XLS fleet, the First Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional execution of all flights. The role encompasses adherence to FAA regulations, collaboration with various operational teams, and meticulous administrative duties. This position offers the chance to fly approximately 450 or more flight hours annually within a safety-conscious private aviation environment.
Responsibilities

Operate Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand flights as Second-in-Command on Citation XLS aircraft.

Ensure all missions are conducted safely, smoothly, and professionally, in compliance with FAA requirements for flight operations, duty hours, and pilot qualifications.

Collaborate closely with Captains, flight operations leadership, maintenance, scheduling, and client services teams.

Report aircraft discrepancies identified during flight or ground operations.

Complete administrative tasks as assigned by company management.

Support domestic and international missions, including operations to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Maintain Northern Jet’s high standards for safety, professionalism, and client service.
Requirements

Minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time.

Minimum of 100 hours of multi-engine flight time.

Current first-class medical certificate.

Unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.

No accidents, incidents, or warnings within the past five years.

Demonstrated knowledge of corporate aviation and international procedures, including operations in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
