About the Role

Solairus Aviation seeks a full-time Praetor 600 Captain for an operation based at San Jose, CA (KSJC). This Captain will ensure the safe, prudent, and professional conduct of all flights, supporting client travel needs while upholding Solairus Aviation's high standards of safety, service, and integrity. Responsibilities include collaborating with operations and crew, managing pre-flight and in-flight safety duties, completing necessary documentation, and adhering to an on-call schedule.

About the Aircraft

The position involves operating the Praetor 600 aircraft.

Requirements

• Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time.
• Minimum 500 hours MEL PIC time.
• Minimum 500 hours turbojet flight time.
• Minimum 250 hours instrument flight time.
• Candidates must hold a first-class medical certificate.
• Must be type rated on the Praetor 600 or a comparable aircraft.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis is required.
• Annual completion of ICAO international procedures training is mandatory.
• Must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KSJC or be willing to relocate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe operation of the Praetor 600 aircraft and conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner.
• Review aircraft maintenance status.
• Perform complete pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Assess weather, facilities, route conditions, destination airports, and alternate airports.
• Ensure compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Safeguard passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
