Summary of Responsibilities:
- The Captain is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and ensuring the safety of all passengers on board from take-off to landing.
- Additional duties may be assigned in accordance with the Company Operations Manual.
- Non-flying duties may include light aircraft grooming away from base, stocking the aircraft commissary, updating EFBs and other manuals as required, and completing all company-required online training in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Holds a valid Canadian ATPL.
- Possesses a minimum of 3000 hours total flying time.
- Includes a minimum of 1000 hours jet time.
- Has accumulated a minimum of 2000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Maintains a valid Class 1 Medical certificate.
- Possesses previous jet experience.
- Has hands-on experience with advanced avionics/glass cockpit/FMS.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A university degree or diploma in aviation or another technical college program is considered an asset.
- Holds a valid passport with the ability to travel unrestricted and obtain visas worldwide.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule, with occasional trips potentially exceeding 2 weeks away from base.
- Is customer service-oriented.
- Possesses the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Has a proven ability to confidentially handle sensitive information.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills.
- Is capable of problem-solving effectively in time-sensitive situations.
- Maintains a proven record of exercising good judgment.
