Lead Captain - Private Jet Operations
Silver Air is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Captain to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our private jets, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: Safely and efficiently conduct all flight operations as Lead Captain, including pre-flight inspections, flight planning, fuel management, weight and balance calculations, and adherence to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Silver Air policies.
- Aircraft Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Aircraft Owner, ensuring smooth and efficient aircraft operations in accordance with the management plan.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor all crew members assigned to the aircraft, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Safety and Compliance: Prioritize the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft at all times, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage internal and external resources to ensure cost-effective aircraft operations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with crew members, clients, and internal departments to ensure a smooth and seamless flight experience.
- Training and Development: Contribute to the development of ARM best practices and procedures by providing training and guidance to team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3500 hours total time in all aircraft, with 3000 hours as PIC.
- Multi-engine Experience: 3000 hours total multi-engine time, with 2000 hours as PIC.
- Turbine Experience: 1750 hours total turbine time preferred.
- Type Rating: Type rated on HS-125 or comparable aircraft.
- Medical Certification: Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Part 135 Experience: Previous Part 135 experience preferred, but not required.
- ICAO Compliance: Compliant with ICAO Annex I - 2.1.1.0. as it pertains to aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
- CANPASS Authorization: Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
Team Environment:
As a Lead Captain at Silver Air, you will be part of a dedicated team, working alongside two other pilots assigned to the same aircraft. The team structure consists of a Lead Captain, Captain, and First Officer. You will also be supported by a dedicated Flight Management and Support team.
