Position Summary
Seaborne Airlines is seeking a highly qualified Twin Engine Seaplane Pilot to join our operations in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This position involves operating De Havilland Twin Otter floatplanes under FAA Part 121 regulations, providing scheduled passenger service within the Caribbean. The successful candidate will demonstrate precision, professionalism, and expertise in navigating tropical marine environments.
Key Responsibilities

Operate De Havilland DHC6-300 aircraft in compliance with FAA Part 121 regulations and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Execute water-based flight maneuvers, including takeoffs, landings, taxiing, docking, and mooring.

Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, inspections, and comprehensive post-flight documentation.

Maintain clear and effective communication with dispatch, air traffic control (ATC), ground support personnel, and passengers.

Adapt flight operations to dynamic tropical weather patterns and variable sea conditions.

Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality service in a passenger-facing role.
Minimum Qualifications

Completed FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written examination.

FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Land & Sea rating.

Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Prior experience in FAA Part 121 or 135 operations.

Demonstrated proficiency in seaplane operations within coastal, island, or open water environments.

U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization for operations in U.S. territories.
Preferred Qualifications

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Land & Sea rating.

Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience in aircraft such as the De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter (on floats), Grumman G-73 Mallard, or similar airframes.

Documented experience operating in the Caribbean or comparable tropical maritime environments.

Familiarity with marine and aviation weather systems specific to the Caribbean region.

Advanced Crew Resource Management (CRM) and communication skills suitable for a diverse, multicultural passenger base.
