Pilot
This position supports the Aircraft Captain by ensuring the safe and timely operation of the aircraft and performing other related duties. The Pilot must demonstrate a commitment to safety and operational excellence, adhering to all company policies, procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Captain in meticulous flight planning, utilizing all relevant weather information and reports, complying with Company policies and procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Verify the aircraft's airworthiness, conducting thorough preflight inspections in accordance with FARs and Company protocols.
- Work with the Captain to ensure proper flight planning and fueling for safe operation, adhering to policies and regulations.
- Operate the aircraft safely and effectively during designated duty periods, adhering to the Captain’s instructions, FARs, and Company policies.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of aircraft equipment, relevant FARs, manuals, policies, procedures, and other pertinent instructions.
- Inform crew and passengers of turbulent weather conditions or any other operational factors that may affect the flight.
- Complete the load manifest for each flight.
- Contribute to a reliable and on-time operation, assisting the Captain to meet report times, departure times, and minimum turn times.
- Assist with the proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo while at the terminal.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance following Company procedures.
- Present a professional appearance, adhering to the Company uniform dress code.
- Conduct oneself professionally while on duty, adhering to the Rules of Conduct for all associates as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual, Associate Handbook, and other related policies.
- Continuously pursue professional development to enhance performance and abilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Company and the Captain.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must meet the minimum requirements for an ATP or RATP certificate.
- ATP written examination preferred.
- Meet current interview and hiring minimum age and flight hour requirements set by the FAA and the Company.
- Candidates meeting interview minimums, but not hiring minimums, are eligible for hire upon successful completion of the interview process if they: meet hiring minimums within six months, have no certificate actions, misdemeanors, or felonies since the interview date, and accept a class date within six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior customer service experience, ideally within an aviation setting.

- Exceptional ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures and governmental regulations, especially under pressure or in emergency situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate information to and respond to questions from management, dispatch, crew, passengers, air traffic control, and the general public.
- Proficient in spoken English, including the ability to give clear verbal commands during emergency scenarios.
- Proven problem-solving ability, addressing practical issues and multiple variables, particularly where standardization is limited.
- Ability to interpret diverse instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Ability to remain calm and react swiftly in emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.
- Capable of making sound decisions that support strategic direction and can process information quickly and react positively during unexpected and/or serious situations.
- Must be able to manage personal and emotional responses and behave professionally under high-stress situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and/or crawl.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move items of varying heights weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to meet the visual demands set by the FAA medical standards.
- Ability to clearly hear verbal communication in person, on the telephone, and over a headset amid ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Possess the stamina to work long days over consecutive days with frequently changing temperatures, climate, and weather conditions.
- Ability to move freely and perform required functions in confined aircraft environments.
- Ability to sit in the pilot’s seat or assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
Work Environment:
- Must be comfortable working near moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to tolerate outdoor weather conditions in an open-air hangar and on the flight line for extended durations.
- Comfortable with loud noise levels, where headset usage is mandatory.
- Willing and able to work extended duty periods on consecutive days and a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be capable of traveling up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays.
- Must be able to work extended hours with little scheduling control and be ready to report to work with minimal notice.
- Must be willing to relocate based on Company’s operational needs.
