Responsibilities:
- Flight Planning & Preparation: Collaborate with the Captain to meticulously plan each flight, meticulously analyzing weather reports, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Aircraft Safety & Compliance: Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections to verify the airworthiness of the aircraft in accordance with FARs and company protocols. Partner with the Captain to guarantee proper fueling and flight planning, ensuring a safe and compliant journey.
- In-Flight Operations: Expertly operate the aircraft under the direction of the Captain, maintaining strict adherence to FARs, company procedures, and the highest safety standards. Effectively communicate with crew and passengers regarding potential turbulence or other operational factors that may impact the flight.
- Documentation & Procedures: Meticulously complete load manifests for each flight. Uphold a comprehensive understanding of aircraft equipment, relevant FARs, manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Professionalism & Teamwork: Contribute to a culture of reliability and on-time performance. Assist the Captain in meeting all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times. Provide exceptional support at the terminal, ensuring smooth handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo. Maintain a professional appearance adhering to the company uniform dress code. Conduct oneself professionally at all times, exemplifying the company's high standards of conduct.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively pursue ongoing professional training to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to the advancement of performance and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Meet the minimum requirements for an ATP or RATP certificate. ATP written preferred.
- Meet current FAA and company age and flight hour requirements for interview and hiring.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in aviation, is highly desirable.
Essential Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Ability to interpret and understand technical procedures, governmental regulations, and aviation documentation.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to and address inquiries from management, dispatch, crew, passengers, air traffic control, and the public. Clear and understandable English, including the ability to deliver shouted commands during emergency situations.
- Problem-Solving Acumen: Capacity to analyze situations, solve practical problems, and make sound decisions, particularly in situations with limited standardization or during emergencies.
- Adaptability & Stress Management: Ability to remain calm, think clearly, and react quickly in high-pressure environments. Demonstrated ability to manage stress and control emotional responses effectively during challenging situations.
- Physical Stamina & Mobility: Must meet the physical demands of the role, including extended periods of sitting, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces. Must be able to pass the FAA's medical standards for vision and hearing.

Work Environment & Travel:
This position requires a flexible schedule with the ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. Travel up to 100% of the time may be required, including potential relocation based on company needs. The work environment includes exposure to loud noises, varying weather conditions, and extended periods in an aircraft cockpit.
