About the Role
The Crew Training & Recovery Officer will be a key member of the Crew Training Planning & Qualifications team. This position focuses on managing and resolving training disruptions to ensure operational readiness and continuous training for both Flight Deck and Cabin Crew. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with QCAA regulations and company standards, coordinating training schedules, and managing resources effectively.

Perform delegated desk-based duties to ensure tasks are completed accurately.

Conduct daily checks on Trainer/Trainee rosters for regulatory compliance.

Schedule and execute training recoveries in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Perform quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory rules for trainers and trainees.

Ensure vacant training slots are filled according to company and QCAA requirements.

Monitor training results and compliance, making adjustments or escalating issues as needed.

Monitor and resolve active training alerts promptly.

Optimize the use of training instructors to maximize productivity.

Communicate training changes to relevant stakeholders.

Ensure ground, simulator, and line training are scheduled within stipulated timeframes.

Coordinate operations within published rosters to ensure seamless training provision and efficient use of training devices.

Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of Department.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

Previous experience in a Flight Operations crew resource-related role is desirable, particularly within crew training and development.

Ability to effectively manage training disruptions while adhering to all applicable procedures, standards, and requirements.

Sound knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements.

Strong understanding of crew management and training planning systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
