Job Summary:
Premier Bone and Joint Centers seeks a highly qualified and experienced Pilot-in-Command to manage its FAR Part 91 corporate flight department and transportation system. This role is essential for ensuring safe and efficient air transport supporting the organization's widespread operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command for all corporate flight operations under FAR Part 91.
- Accurately assess weather conditions and other factors impacting flight safety.
- Report maintenance requirements to authorized flight personnel and provide assistance with necessary mechanical adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Provide peripheral support to satellite clinics, which may include maintaining fleet vehicles and performing clinic errands.
- Exhibit initiative, self-directed behavior, and accept responsibility for professional growth and personal conduct.
- Adhere strictly to facility and departmental policies, including maintaining a good attendance record, punctuality, following the dress code, and observing confidentiality.
- Participate in Premier Bone & Joint Centers and departmental in-services and staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as directed to ensure the efficient operations of Premier Bone and Joint Centers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations.
- Understanding of weather and atmospheric conditions as they affect flight operations.
- Proficiency in operating technical equipment and recognizing associated safety concerns.
- Strong language use skills, including reading, comprehending instructions and correspondence, constructing written communication, and presenting information effectively in various settings.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with passengers.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including compassion, professionalism, and the ability to project a pleasant image.
- Skilled in analyzing situations accurately, making effective decisions for favorable resolutions, and taking decisive action.
- Flexibility in responding to changing workloads and assignments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, co-workers, and the public.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
Certifications & Licensure:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate (multi-engine land) (Required).
- First Class FAA Medical Certificate obtained within the last 12 months (Required).
Experience:
- Minimum of 4000 Hours Total Flight Time.
- Minimum of 2000 Hours Multi-Engine Pilot-in-Command Time.
Working Conditions:
Work is conducted in an aircraft and hangar environment. The role is subject to regular safety hazards associated with changing weather conditions affecting flight operations and working in proximity to hazardous mechanical, electrical, or fire hazards.
