Experienced Pilot - Perdue Aviation
Perdue Farms, a family-owned food and agriculture company with over a century of growth and innovation, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot to join its Perdue Aviation team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of company aircraft in accordance with company regulations, Federal Aviation Regulations, and applicable state and local laws.
Summary

Responsibilities
The Pilot's primary duties include:
- Operating company aircraft as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC), as assigned, with responsibility for all aspects of aircraft operation.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Code of Federal Regulations Title 14, state and local regulations, the aircraft flight manual, and company policies.
- Thoroughly assessing and utilizing all available flight information, including weather conditions, AIRMETS, SIGMETS, and any other pertinent data prior to departure.
- Ensuring appropriate fuel and oxygen requirements for the planned route.
- Verifying that the crew possesses all necessary dispatch papers, flight information, and aircraft documentation.
- Maintaining strict adherence to weight and balance parameters during all phases of aircraft operations.
- Completing flight planning and filing company flight plans.
- Conducting thorough post-flight aircraft inspections after each landing/engine shutdown.
- Reporting any aircraft defects to the chief pilot or other designated personnel.
- Adhering to flight time/duty time limitations as defined in company policies.
- Ensuring that all passengers receive comprehensive briefings according to company requirements outlined in company policies.
- Ensuring compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws as needed for specific flights.
- Completing all post-flight administrative tasks, including recording flight times, fuel usage, stocking, and cleaning the aircraft.
- Maintaining aircraft security both at the home base and away from base.
- Providing thorough pre-flight briefings to crew members, covering topics such as aircraft towing, taxi routes, and recovery procedures.
- Conducting post-flight debriefings and completing a post-flight aircraft maintenance status debrief at the home base.
- Collaborating with other crew members in a professional and cooperative manner, ensuring a safe and efficient flight.
- Assuming the role of trip lead, when applicable, being responsible for all aspects of the assigned trip, including status updates, deviations from the schedule, overnight stays, and international flight progress.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A valid airplane multi-engine land commercial pilot certificate.
- A valid instrument rating.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time, including 400 hours of multi-engine and 200 hours of turbo prop experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a crew environment.
- A valid first-class medical certificate.
- A valid passport.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Residence within a 50-mile radius of Salisbury, MD.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with the following experience are highly encouraged to apply:
- ATP Certificate - Multi Engine
- King Air B200 Experience
- Embraer Phenom 300 type rating
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
This position requires:
- The ability to lift and maneuver travel bags onto and off aircraft with appropriate equipment.
- The ability to move equipment or supplies within the company hangar.
- The ability to access files, supplies, and equipment.
- The ability to work primarily in a hangar environment and on aircraft.
