Purpose of Position
EJM, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a qualified SIC candidate for a Phenom 300 based in Salt Lake City, UT (KSLC). This position offers the opportunity to join an established account seeking a third pilot to support approximately 400 hours per year of Part 135 flying.
This position requires residing in or relocating to the Salt Lake City area. Applicants must meet or exceed the minimum flight time requirements.
Reporting to the Chief Pilot, the SIC is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flight duties. During scheduled trips, the SIC reports to the assigned Pilot in Command (PIC), fulfilling all duties delegated by the PIC.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The SIC will:
- Conduct all pilot duties in strict adherence to the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other pertinent instructions.
- Champion the company's safety, security, and quality goals by adhering to the Safety Management System (SMS) program. This includes reporting any safety, security, or quality recommendations and non-compliance observations through the appropriate channels.
- Maintain the aircraft's interior post-flight. This includes, but is not limited to, removing debris from the cockpit, ensuring the removal of ice and catering items, and reporting any interior discrepancies to the PIC.
- Arrange and obtain necessary cabin items, such as catering, as instructed by the Flight Operations Center, consistently providing exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate all work schedules and changes with the Chief Pilot. Maintain accurate flight and duty time logs and reports. Report any commercial flying conducted outside the company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in flight and duty time records.
- Submit a copy of their valid First Class Medical Certificate to the Flight Operations Training Department by the 20th of each month.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong prioritizing and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, high-level priorities.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- A valid Medical Certificate.
- A willingness to obtain an FAA Type rating in the Phenom 300 (if not already held).
- The ability to maintain high service standards within a strict and evolving regulatory environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- ATP License
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
