Pilot in Command
Overview
The Pilot in Command is primarily responsible for acting as the Aircraft Commander, ensuring safe flight operations and providing exceptional customer service to guarantee passenger satisfaction. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Serve as the Aircraft Commander, diligently carrying out all associated duties to ensure the safety of every flight and all passengers. This includes strict adherence to the aircraft's Flight Manual, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all applicable aviation legislation.
- Prioritize the safe and efficient conduct of each flight, operating strictly in accordance with established company procedures.
- Confirm and maintain the safe navigation of the aircraft, executing continuous and independent verification of both the geographical position and safe terrain clearance.
- Execute all operational procedures and checklists precisely as outlined in the Airplane Flight Manual and Operations Manuals, and as directed by the commander of the flight.
- Promptly report any occurrence or incident that has, or potentially could have, endangered safety.
- Report any fault, failure, malfunction, or defect believed to impact the airworthiness or safe operation of the aircraft.
- Consistently provide the highest level of customer service possible to passengers, contributing significantly to overall customer satisfaction and retention.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3000 hours of total flight time.
- Current and valid type rating on a Gulfstream G600 is required.
- Possession of a full EASA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) with appropriate type ratings.
- Hold a valid European Union Class 1 medical certificate.
- Demonstrated track record of excellent performance in previous roles.
- Extensive global flight experience.
- Strong background in commercial aviation (experience in an EUOPS and/or AIROPS environment is advantageous).
- Military or airline training is considered an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required (preferably ICAO English Level 6).
Certifications and Licenses
- Full EASA ATPL with appropriate type ratings.
- Gulfstream G600 Type Rating.
- European Union Class 1 Medical.
