Executive Jet Management Seeks G280 Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) to join their team. Based out of Gary/Chicago International Airport (KGYY), the PIC will operate a G280 aircraft in a Part 91 environment, averaging 200 flight hours annually. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated three-pilot team supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, ensuring smooth and efficient operations for both domestic and international flights.
Responsibilities:
As the Pilot in Command, you will hold the critical responsibility of ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. Your duties will include:
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all crewing and trip assignments adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each flight.
- Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead pre-flight briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Maintain strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborate seamlessly with company personnel.
- Serve as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, adhering to established company policy.
- Diligently perform pre-flight inspections, verifying the aircraft's maintenance status to guarantee mission readiness. Document any discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Oversee and ensure the timely completion of all ground servicing requirements, including fueling, oil levels, and oxygen replenishment, according to established SOPs.
- Deliver comprehensive passenger briefings adhering to both company policies and regulatory guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service tailored to meet the specific needs of all passengers, including those with physical challenges.
- Effectively utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Provide a consistently high level of service to aircraft owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM experience. Investigate and resolve service deviations promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistently excellent service experience for all passengers. Exhibit strong conflict resolution skills to address challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
Professional Development and Compliance:
- Maintain all regulatory and company-mandated training requirements, ensuring recency of experience.
- Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, diligently reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
- 4-6 years of experience in aviation
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet (G280)
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
