Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G200 - San Jose, CA
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pilot in Command to join our team in San Jose, CA (KSJC). The successful candidate will operate a Gulfstream G200 aircraft under EJM's P135 certificate, flying approximately 325 hours annually.
Responsibilities:
As Pilot in Command, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes, but is not limited to:
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensuring all crew and trip assignments adhere to company and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting thorough flight planning, including performance calculations and weight and balance assessments.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefings to proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborating effectively with all relevant company personnel.
- Acting as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with established company policy.
- Performing meticulous pre-flight inspections, including assessment of the aircraft's maintenance status, to confirm mission readiness. Diligently recording any discrepancies discovered during pre-flight inspections per company SOPs.
- Supervising and verifying that all aircraft ground servicing tasks (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) are executed meticulously according to SOPs.
Exceptional Service Delivery:
- Delivering comprehensive passenger briefings that comply with company policy and regulatory standards.
- Providing an unparalleled level of customer service, anticipating and catering to the unique needs of passengers, including those with physical challenges.
- Utilizing effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Providing exceptional service to owners and passengers while actively seeking opportunities to elevate the EJM experience.
- Collaborating seamlessly with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistently outstanding service experience for owners and passengers. Professionally resolving any conflicts or challenges that may arise.
Professional Development and Continuous Improvement:
- Maintaining current regulatory and company-mandated training requirements, ensuring recency of experience at all times.
- Actively participating in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, promptly reporting any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through the designated channels.
Qualifications:
- Significant prior experience in corporate/business aviation.
- Type rating in the Gulfstream G200 is strongly preferred.
- Must meet the following minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- Demonstrated ability to perform all essential functions of the position effectively.
Compensation and Benefits:
EJM offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $432,000, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including:
