Second in Command - Gulfstream G200
Full-Time – Albuquerque, NM
Jet Linx is actively seeking qualified Second in Command candidates to join their team for Super Midsize jet aircraft operations under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The ideal candidate is expected to reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out time of the assigned home base in Albuquerque, NM.
Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This role is responsible for preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total Time: 1500 hours
- Total PIC: 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 100 hours
- Total Instrument: 150 hours
Essential Functions:
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company requirements and CFRs.
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Effectively maintain and manage Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensure navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Hold and maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making skills during all phases of operation.
- Consistently uphold and embody Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements:
- Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possess a current passport allowing unrestricted travel.
- Hold an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Hold a current 1st Class Medical certificate.
- Possess an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Possess unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to authorize and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational demands require.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is performed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation:
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed for team members. The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $124,000 to $160,000. The actual base salary offered is contingent upon geographic location, the size of the aircraft (relevant for crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a generous 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
