Purpose of Position
The Pilot is responsible for consistently delivering a superior air transportation experience while maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. Acting as the face of NetJets, the Pilot provides not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the Pilot include:
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greeting Owners/passengers pre-flight, making introductions, briefing them on the specific flight/trip, verifying the itinerary, providing weather updates and safety briefings, and explaining any itinerary changes.
- Providing in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
- Loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft as needed.
- Handling and conducting flights for Owners traveling with pets and those who smoke.
- Serving as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all areas of operation, including compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Acting as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO until safe landing at the final destination and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to NetJets via the aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty for their specific fleet.
- Completing all necessary paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned depending on the specific assignment.

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications and Licenses
Possession of a written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain it prior to Indoctrination Training.
Possession of a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs)
- Hold an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with multi-engine rating in accordance with 14 CFR § 61.160:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Total flight time experience of 1,500 hours, OR 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, OR 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, OR 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Must be able to work varying hours, including day and night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must demonstrate extreme flexibility and the ability to adjust to rapid changes.
- Must be able to manage rest effectively to be prepared for flight duty at all times during their tour.
- Duty periods may extend up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days and may involve operating across different time zones and extreme weather conditions during a single trip.
- While on duty, may be away from home for seven or more days and nights, requiring hotel stays.
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Must be able to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening.
- Must possess a valid State driver’s license.
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression, including strong capability to effectively interact with passengers.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Must demonstrate the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to work around animals, including handling and care prior to, during, and after Owner flights.
- Must be able to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range
$86,015 – $117,706
