Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 650
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and subsidiary of NetJets, a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 650 based at Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD). This position is part of a four-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 regulations.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This individual ensures adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience to passengers. This dynamic position involves a significant international component to the flight schedule, and requires extensive international experience. Local, type-rated candidates are preferred, however, relocation will be considered for exceptional applicants.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and compliant crewing and trip assignments.
- Conduct thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Employ Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology for briefings, mitigating operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel. Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Complete pre-flight checks, verifying the aircraft’s mission readiness, and record discrepancies per SOPs.
- Oversee aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, in accordance with SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings and provide superior customer service, accommodating special needs.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear communication during all operational scenarios.
- Deliver exceptional service, actively seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience.
- Collaborate with crew members and internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Maintain required training, recency of experience, and compliance with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), reporting any concerns appropriately.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- 8-10 years of experience in aviation.
- Preferred experience in corporate/business aviation.
- FAA Type rating in the Gulfstream GVI preferred.
- Extensive international experience in corporate aviation.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
