Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 650
Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 650 aircraft based at Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD). This is a four-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 regulations.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This individual will adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience to passengers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to safety and a passion for delivering outstanding service. The position entails a dynamic schedule with significant international flight operations. Extensive international experience is essential, with preference given to local, type-rated candidates. Relocation assistance may be considered for exceptional applicants.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all crewing and trip assignments meet company and regulatory standards.
- Completes detailed flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight.
- Leads thorough briefings utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates effectively with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as required.
- Performs all pre-flight aircraft checks, verifies maintenance status, and ensures the aircraft is mission-ready. Records all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitors and oversees all ground servicing requirements, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, in compliance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation. Provides the highest level of customer service and addresses any special passenger needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to ensure clear and timely communication with crew and support staff during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying and resolving any service deviations.
- Collaborates with crew members and EJM partners to deliver a consistent service experience to owners and passengers.
- Maintains all necessary regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through designated channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- FAA Type rating in the Gulfstream GVI.
- Proven extensive experience in heavy international corporate aviation operations.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
