Pilot in Command - CL3500 Aircraft
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a CL3500 aircraft based at Allegheny County Airport, PA (KAGC). Purpose of Position:
This is a three-pilot account supported by a Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 135 regulations. The PIC assumes full responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The successful candidate will demonstrate a steadfast commitment to adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience for passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Complies with all company and regulatory requirements related to crewing and trip assignments.
- Meticulously completes flight planning, performance, weight, and balance calculations for each assigned mission.
- Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as needed. Serves as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Thoroughly completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the aircraft's maintenance status to ensure mission readiness. Accurately documents any aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Maintains vigilance over all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) ensuring adherence to established SOPs.
- Conducts comprehensive passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations, delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs (e.g., physically challenged).
- Effectively utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during all flight phases, including normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Diligently investigates and resolves any service deviations.
- Collaborates seamlessly with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to consistently deliver a superior service experience to owners and passengers. Effectively resolves conflict and challenges in a professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and ensures recency of experience.
- Adheres to the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the aviation industry.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- Current FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to effectively perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
$110,000 - $432,000
