Position Overview

Surf Air Mobility seeks a highly qualified and motivated First Officer for the Caravan C-208 aircraft. This Exempt position reports to the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations. Current base locations include Honolulu (HNL) and Kahului (OGG). The company's route structure allows most pilots to return home daily, offering flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as First Officer on the Caravan C-208 aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Collaborate with the Captain to maintain the highest standards of flight safety and professionalism.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, embodying the company's commitment to a positive travel experience.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and well-groomed appearance at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • FAA Commercial Pilot License with Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL) rating.
  • Current Instrument Rating.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a pilot.
  • Minimum of 500 total flight hours, including:
    • 100 hours of cross-country flight time.
    • 25 hours of night flight time.
    • 50 hours of turbine aircraft time OR 75 hours of instrument flight time.
  • Valid FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator Permit.
  • Valid Driver's License and Passport.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Willingness and availability to work flexible and variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • A $20,100 training contract is required.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
  • FAA record must be in good standing.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Package:

  • Guaranteed 65 block hours per month, commencing from the first day of training.
  • Pilots under 600 hours: $12 per block hour during initial ground school, $15 per block hour upon release to line.
  • Pilots with 600-900 hours: $18 per block hour.
  • Pilots over 900 hours: $21 per block hour.
  • Upon release to line, a flat rate of $45 per diem is provided for overnights away from the assigned base.
  • Travel and hotel accommodations are provided during training.
  • CASS (Commercial Aviation Support Services) Participant.
