Aviation Flight Crew Training Planner
A leading aviation organization is seeking an experienced and meticulous Aviation Flight Crew Training Planner to join its dedicated team. This pivotal role involves daily liaison with flight crew worldwide, ensuring their training remains current and compliant, thereby enabling their operational readiness.
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Business Aviation Training Solutions (BATS) team, which expertly manages flight crew training for both the Luxaviation Group and external flight crew. This role is crucial in ensuring that all flight crew training, whether conducted in-house or through contracted training facilities, is meticulously planned, scheduled, delivered, and recorded in strict compliance with statutory requirements and applicable Operations Manuals Part D.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans and books all ground and simulator training events for flight crew.
- Tracks and maintains the validity of crew training documentation.
- Maintains accurate training activity records utilizing Excel, webforms, and other designated applications.
- Produces weekly reports for the department manager and Nominated Postholders, as required.
- Manages the training-related processes for new pilot induction.
- Establishes and maintains comprehensive knowledge of flight crew regulatory requirements.
- Liaises with Nominated Postholder crew training staff regarding pilot license and type rating queries or issues.
- Facilitates effective liaison with all internal departments and external training providers.
- Manages and updates the Local Procedures Manual, as required.
- Performs internal audits and quality checks.
- Supports external compliance audits.
- Completes daily invoicing tasks.
- Assists the manager in completing training revenue forecasts and other budgetary planning tasks.
- Undertakes ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Coordinates Common Ground Course training bookings with crew and external companies.
- Administers the Scandlearn e-learning system for crew, including account creation and ensuring continuous operational readiness.
- Collaborates closely with the flight operations team to ensure all crew members are qualified and available for assigned flights.
Candidate Specification
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience as a Training Administrator or Planner, or significant experience within an operational aviation environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective remote relationships with a complex and demanding client base.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position offering flexibility in start and end times. The role supports a hybrid working model, with the primary office base located in Duxford, Cambridgeshire.
