Job Description
British Airways seeks experienced pilots to join its operations flying the Airbus A320. This role is based at London Heathrow. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an exceptional flight experience for passengers, performing to the highest professional standards. Career progression opportunities include transitioning to long-haul fleets or advancing to Captain on short-haul operations. Diverse roles outside of flying, such as training and recruitment, are also available.
Key Responsibilities

- Operate the Airbus A320 fleet.

Candidate Requirements
- Current A320 type rating with a minimum of 500 hours on type (excluding simulator time).
- Experience flying the A320 family of aircraft within the last 12 months.
- Current UK issued CAA Flight Crew Licence ATPL (A), fATPL (A), or MPL.
- UK Class 1 medical with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of joining.
- Height between 1.57m (5'2") and 1.91m (6'3"). Applicants taller than 1.91m may be required to undergo a functionality check.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Spoken and written English ICAO level 6.
- Valid passport with a minimum of 12 months before the expiry date.
- Ability to comply with British Airways' uniform standards; tattoos are permissible if not on hands, face, or head.
- Ability to swim 50m (55 yards), tread water for 3 minutes, and assist others in water. This includes treading water while fitting a lifejacket and pulling body weight into a life raft.
