Loganair is actively seeking experienced and dedicated Captains to join its team as Direct Entry Captains across all its United Kingdom bases and diverse fleet operations. Key Responsibilities

As a Captain, the incumbent will assume full responsibility for the safety, security, and overall operation of the aircraft, its crew, and passengers from initial aircraft arrival through to post-flight engine shutdown. Exceptional leadership and sound judgment are critical for ensuring each flight is conducted safely, efficiently, and in strict adherence to all regulatory mandates and company standards.

  • Comprehensive oversight of all aircraft operational aspects during flight.
  • Making critical, timely decisions during both normal and abnormal operational scenarios.
  • Leading and providing support to the flight crew, establishing and maintaining a high standard of professionalism onboard.
  • Ensuring all established procedures are meticulously followed and safely adapted as necessary.
  • Setting a benchmark in communication excellence, professional conduct, and fostering a robust safety culture.

  • Profound understanding of aviation regulations, established safety practices, and flight operations protocols.

  • Proven track record of effective teamwork and leadership.
  • Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Training and Experience Requirements

  • Full ATPL (UK CAA) with a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Currently or recently operating in command on a multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10t or 19+ passengers).
  • Desirable: Possesses a valid Type Rating on one of Loganair's fleet aircraft.

  • Basic Salary: £72,425 – £89,210
  • Sector Pay: £5,500 – £8,000 per year (incrementing with the number of sectors flown)
