Direct Entry Captain – BA Euroflyer

BA Euroflyer is seeking a Direct Entry Captain to operate short-haul flights from London Gatwick. As part of the British Airways family, the successful candidate will provide premium service to destinations across Europe and North Africa, supported by a fixed-pattern roster that ensures a return to base every evening.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting salary of £114,000 (subject to 2026 pay review) plus approximately £25,150 in allowances (based on 800 flying hours per year).

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of a UK-issued CAA ATPL (A), fATPL (A), or MPL, or an EASA licence meeting UK CAA conversion routes (3, 4, 5, or 6).
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours total flying time on an aircraft type qualifying for Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT), with flight experience on this type within the last 6 months.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time, with operational experience as PIC within the last 6 months.
  • Right to live and work in the UK or the ability to secure a Right to Work visa.
  • Valid passport, Class 1 medical, and ICAO English Level 6 proficiency.

Application Guidelines

  • Candidates are restricted to applying to only one BA Group airline at a time.
  • Reapplication periods are set at 6 months for unsuccessful candidates in the initial stages and 12 months for those who reach the simulator stage.
  • Hold pool candidates are entitled to receive up to 2 job offers.
