Loganair First Officer – DHC-6 Twin Otter

Role Overview
The First Officer plays a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations in partnership with the Captain. This position is within a close-knit, high-performing crew environment that supports ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Captain with flight planning, performance calculations, and all phases of flight.
- Conducting pre-flight inspections and completing necessary aircraft documentation.
- Operating the aircraft in full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and safety policies.
- Monitoring weather conditions, communicating with Air Traffic Control (ATC), and adjusting flight plans as required.
- Maintaining accurate records of flights, duty hours, and aircraft discrepancies.
- Participating in emergency procedures when necessary and providing assistance with passenger care.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and representing Loganair with the highest level of professionalism.
- Engaging in regular training to maintain and enhance qualifications.
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements:
- Previous DHC-6 Twin Otter operating experience.
- Valid UK CAA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR), Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (A-UPRT), and Multi-Crew Co-operation (MCC) certificates.
- Valid UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
- English language proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Valid passport permitting unrestricted worldwide travel.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous customer service experience.
- Valid Class Rating for a DHC-6 Twin Otter.

- Basic Salary: £39,843 - £43,566 per annum.
- Sector Pay: £5,500 – £8,000 per year (variable based on sector count).
