The Role: Embraer 190 Captain

Essential Qualifications and Experience
Prospective Captains must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Current operation as a Captain is highly desirable.
- Current UK CAA Part-FCL ATPL (A) or the demonstrated ability to convert to a UK licence via the CAA EASA transfer process (Routes 5 or 6).
- A current type rating with a minimum of 4000 total flying hours, including 1500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) of a commercial jet/turbo prop multi-crew aircraft. The 1500 PIC hours must be on an aircraft with an MTOW of 20,000kg or greater and explicitly exclude PICUS hours.
- A current UK-issued ATPL (A).
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6.
- Valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
- Valid Class 1 Medical (valid for at least six months beyond the anticipated date of joining).
- An Embraer E-Jet type rating is desirable but not essential.
Application Process
Applicants are required to upload a copy of their licence and the last three pages of their logbook to the supporting files section before submitting their application. Flying hours and ratings will be thoroughly checked during the screening process and at assessment.
Important Notes:
- Candidates who were unsuccessful at the initial screening, video interview, capacity testing, or assessment centre stages may reapply for the pilot recruitment campaign after six months from their most recent assessment date, reflecting an updated assessment process.
- Candidates who were unsuccessful at the simulator (SIM) stage must wait 12 months before reapplying for the pilot recruitment campaign.
- Applicants may only apply to one airline within the British Airways family (British Airways, Euroflyer, or Cityflyer) at any given time. Should an application to one airline be unsuccessful, reapplying to any of the three airlines within the British Airways family will not be possible until the specified re-apply period has elapsed.
