C-12/C-26 Instructor Pilot - Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS)
Leidos' Integrated Airborne Solutions (IAS) Division, within the Airborne Systems Business Area, seeks a skilled and experienced C-12/C-26 Instructor Pilot to support the Army National Guard (ANG) Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS) program in Bridgeport, WV.
Leidos, as the prime contractor, provides comprehensive training services, including flight training, simulation training, classroom instruction, and schoolhouse support activities. This includes the integration of the One Army School System (OASS) and Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) maintenance for platforms and simulation devices currently in use or anticipated to be in use by the Army National Guard.
This exciting opportunity allows the selected candidate to leverage their expertise while supporting the ATSOS program at the Fixed Wing Army Aviation Training Site (FWAATS). The Instructor Pilot will deliver classroom instruction and in-air instruction flights using C-12 and C-26 platforms in direct support of the AATS mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a C-12 and/or C-26 Instructor Pilot and Classroom Instructor as required.
- Adhere to all aircrew training program (ATP) requirements outlined in DCMA INST 8210-1D, AR 95-1, and applicable dATM. Participate in the No-notice evaluation program.
- Coordinate daily tasks and requirements (work schedules, leave requests, etc.) for contract employees to meet AATS missioned training requirements and schoolhouse accreditation as directed by AATS chains of command.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Army, National Guard, and AATS policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Submit Instructor Flight and Operation data in the Task Order Monthly Report.
- Actively participate in the Quality Management System, quality procedures, and safety programs with respective leads within the organization.
- Stay current with changes and modifications to external standards.
- Identify and implement strategies for compliance.
- Support the standardization, evaluation, and examiner plan, including scheduling of internal and external audits, maintaining the tracking database, following up on deficiencies, and reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 16 years of applicable experience OR a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience.
- Certification in DCMA INST 8210-1D demonstrating qualification in mission, type, design, and, if applicable, series of aircraft.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command time and 500 hours as an Instructor Pilot, with 250 hours of instruction in multi-engine airplanes.
- USAACE/AATS (or equivalent Army approved NET) qualified IP in the type of aircraft for which duties will be performed.
- Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor multi-engine and Instrument Instructor rating with associated Commercial Pilot ratings.
- FAA Commercial, multi-engine airplane, Instrument rating, and Certificated Flight Instructor ratings in all these categories or the ability to obtain them by the hire date.
- Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualified; or successful completion of an AATS provided ABIC course.
- FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- FAA Second Class flight physical required. Army Contractor pilots have the option of maintaining either an annual FAA Second Class Medical Certificate or an Army Class 2 FDME (DCMA 8210.1D, para 4.3.5.1.2).
- Experience as an SP, IE, and/or IP in a OASS school, MTOE, or TDA organization at the company and/or battalion level.
- Instrument Flight Examiners (IE), Standardization Instructor Pilots (SP), Instructor Pilots (IP), and Maintenance Evaluators (ME) designations apply only to contractor pilots (Army) contracted for the sole purpose of conducting aircraft qualification training and administration of the Aircrew Training Program (ATP). Contractor pilots in these designated positions shall meet all Army initial aircraft qualifications and recurrent training requirements per AR 95-1 and the applicable aircraft Digital Aircrew Training Module (dATM) (DCMA 8210.1C, para 4.3.4.3).
- Adherence to instructor qualification requirements outlined in TR 350-10 and TR 350-70.
- Fulfillment of all Army initial aircraft qualifications and recurrent training requirements as specified in AR 95-1 and the applicable aircraft Digital Aircrew Training Module (dATM) (DCMA 8210.1D, para 4.3.4.3).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to effectively deliver oral presentations to students in a classroom or simulator environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- IP experience at EAATS, FWAATS, HAATS, WAATS, or the U.S. Army Aviation Training Center.
- Previous ACT-E qualification and sustainment training IAW TC 3-04.11.

Pay Range: $98,150.00 - $177,425.00
