Key Responsibilities

  • Upholding the highest training standards while ensuring compliance with all airline regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining current and relevant training processes, procedures, and operational manuals.
  • Supervising the precise implementation and optimization of all training activities in adherence to prevailing regulations and industry standards.
  • Ensuring balanced scheduling, maximizing throughput and revenue capture, with a proactive approach to proposing improvements and reporting findings.
  • Maintaining a high standard of instructor performance and development.
  • Monitoring training progress and providing recommendations for necessary remedial actions for pilots not meeting established progress and performance benchmarks.
  • Collaborating with Sales and Customer Services departments to ensure customer satisfaction by addressing conflicts, policies, procedures, and scheduling issues.
  • Conducting simulator instruction and examinations as required.
  • Partnering with internal departments to standardize training programs and operational processes.

Required Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Possession of a current type rating instructor qualification for the B737 aircraft.
  • Hold an ICAO-recognized Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL).
  • Hold or have held an instructor/examiner qualification issued by an ICAO recognized Regulatory Authority.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years gained within the aeronautical industry in a pertinent capacity.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an instructor or examiner.
  • Accumulated a minimum of 8000 hours of airline flying experience, including at least 4000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • Demonstrated a robust understanding of regulatory requirements governing training and Approved Training Organisation (ATO) management.
  • Achieved a minimum of ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an approved CRM (Crew Resource Management) training course.

Preferable:

  • Possess airline or ATO management experience, preferably within a pilot training department, having held a Post Holder position.
  • Familiarity with applicable EU safety regulations, associated requirements and procedures, the AOC holder’s operations specifications, and the essential content of the relevant sections of the AOC holder’s operations manual.
  • Experience in widebody aircraft line operations or training.
  • Experience with multiple aircraft type ratings (e.g., Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier).
  • Proven experience working effectively with regulatory bodies.
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Successful completion of a Quality / Safety Management Course.
  • Familiarity with management systems, particularly within the aviation sector.
  • Relevant management experience, ideally within a comparable organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and strong presentation skills.

The specific remuneration package will be discussed during the interview, tailored to the candidate's experience and qualifications. The starting gross salary for this position is from 10,000 €.
