Aviation First Officer
Aviation Department seeks a highly motivated and professional First Officer to serve as second-in-command on company aircraft. The First Officer shares joint responsibility for the safety and well-being of passengers and flight crew. When not flying, the First Officer will perform general departmental duties. This individual ensures all flight and ground operations are conducted in full compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company policies. The successful candidate maintains a high standard of professionalism, airmanship, and personal conduct, demonstrating the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, trust, and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of crew and passengers, providing a best-in-class passenger experience.
- Assist the Captain in making informed decisions regarding flight destinations and overall flight operations.
- Provide valuable input on operational decisions related to weather conditions, airport suitability, and aircraft performance limitations, ensuring adherence to safety margins.
- Maintain current knowledge of FAA regulations, company policies, Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), and aircraft operational limitations.
- Collaborate with the Aviation Department to foster a strong safety culture and efficient procedures to meet customer demand.
- Assume command of the aircraft should the Captain become incapacitated during flight.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Commercial Multi-Engine certificate.
- Possession of a valid FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- Possession of a valid Radio Operator’s certificate issued by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of accumulated flight time, including 100 hours in multi-engine aircraft.
- Demonstrated professional demeanor, motivation, and dependability as a team collaborator.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree.
- Previous flight experience in Challenger 300, Citation XLS+, or similar aircraft.
