Boeing 737 First Officer - Ypsilanti, MI
This is a full-time position based in Ypsilanti, Michigan, at Willow Run Airport (YIP). As a Boeing 737 First Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient conduct of flights. In the event of the Captain's incapacitation, the First Officer assumes command.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out flight duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations, and performance specific to the aircraft type, as assigned by the Captain.
- Ensure safe aircraft navigation, maintaining a continuous and independent check of the aircraft's geographical position and safe terrain clearance.
- Safely and properly conduct flights in compliance with the current flight plan and the Captain's instructions when the Captain is not at the controls.
- Offer advice, information, and assistance to the Captain, as necessary to contribute to the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Seek and receive information and explanation from the Captain to ensure the First Officer can effectively fulfill their role.
- Report safety concerns, irregularities, incidents, and accidents to the Director of Safety if not already reported by other crewmembers.
- Review and revise onboard aircraft manuals to ensure currency and availability.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Aviation-related college degree is preferred.
- A valid unrestricted driver's license and passport are mandatory.
- First Class Medical certificate is essential.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License with an Instrument Rating is required.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate is required.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit is required.
- R-ATP holder with 1,000 hours total time is required.
- 2,500 hours total time and 500 hours turbine time are required.
- Previous FAR 121 experience is preferred.
- Type rating in Boeing-737 is preferred.
Skills & Work Environment:
- Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software proficiency, and internet competency are required.
- The candidate must pass a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.

Physical Requirements:
- The role requires frequent standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
Location and Shift Requirements:
- This position is based in Ypsilanti, MI, at Willow Run Airport (YIP).
- No remote work options are available.
- Relocation packages are not offered for this position.
- The shift schedule is 13 days on, 10 days off, bid in 90-day increments.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is mandatory.
- The candidate must be available full-time and for assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Other Requirements:
- The candidate must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
- Yearly base compensation of $81,360.00
- Salary paid from the start of training, with accommodations provided at the base (YIP).
