Boeing 737 First Officer – Ypsilanti, MI
This full-time position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated First Officer to join our team based at Willow Run Airport (YIP) in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The successful candidate will assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of Boeing 737 aircraft, assuming command in the event of the Captain's incapacitation.
Responsibilities:
- Execute all flight duties in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including aircraft-specific procedures, limitations, and performance data as directed by the Captain.
- Maintain continuous and independent monitoring of the aircraft's geographical position and safe terrain clearance, ensuring safe navigation.
- Conduct flights safely and accurately, adhering to the approved flight plan and Captain's instructions when not at the controls.
- Proactively offer advice, information, and assistance to the Captain to optimize flight safety and efficiency.
- Actively seek clarification and information from the Captain as needed to effectively perform duties.
- Promptly report safety concerns, irregularities, incidents, and accidents to the Director of Safety, if not already reported by other crew members.
- Maintain currency and availability of onboard aircraft manuals through regular review and revision.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; an aviation-related college degree is preferred.
- Valid unrestricted driver's license and passport.
- First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License with an Instrument Rating.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- R-ATP holder with 1,000 hours total time; 2,500 hours total time and 500 hours turbine time are required.
- Prior FAR Part 121 experience is preferred, as is a Boeing 737 type rating.
- Proficiency in basic MS Office software and internet applications.
- Successful completion of DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment and Schedule:
This position is based at Willow Run Airport (YIP) in Ypsilanti, MI, and does not offer remote work options. Relocation assistance is not provided. The schedule is a 13-days-on, 10-days-off rotation, bid in 90-day increments. Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory. Full-time availability for all assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. The candidate must meet all FAR Part 121 age requirements and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual Base Compensation: $81,360.00
- Salary during training: Provided, along with accommodations at YIP.
