Position Overview
KENT Worldwide is seeking a highly professional and dedicated Aircraft Pilot to contribute to its dynamic aviation operations. This role is integral to ensuring the safe, efficient, and punctual transport of passengers and cargo, embodying the company's core values of honesty, safety, and quality. The Aircraft Pilot will operate with precision and expertise, playing a crucial part in the strategic objectives of the flight department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and meticulous maintenance of company aircraft, prioritizing the utmost safety of all passengers and crew members. This position also involves active participation in flight planning and other critical activities to support the flight department's goals and strategic initiatives. The Aircraft Pilot reports to the Chief Pilot for daily operational matters and falls within the corporate travel department's reporting structure. Standard aircraft operations are conducted using a Co-Captain crew configuration.
This role is based exclusively in Muscatine, Iowa.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for all assigned flights.
- Act as Second in Command (SIC) for all assigned flights.
- Adhere strictly to all schedules and directives governing aircraft operation.
- Perform and verify comprehensive pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft readiness.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight preparations, including detailed review of weather conditions, aircraft weight and balance, and performance calculations.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local aviation regulations.
- Engage in all relevant and required continuing education and certification coursework.
- Demonstrate the ability to make swift and critical decisions in dynamic operational situations.
- Complete and meticulously log all appropriate flight reports and necessary documentation.
- Represent the company professionally at the executive level when interacting with business associates, officials, and clients.
- Conduct all operations with an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- FAA 560XL type rating is preferred.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification is required.
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Minimum of 1,500 hours in Multi-Engine Land (MEL) aircraft.
- Minimum of 500 hours of jet flight time.
- Previous experience in Business Aviation or Part 135 operations is highly preferred.
