First Officer A320

The Role:
The First Officer is responsible for supporting the Captain in all aspects of flight management and ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting the flight in compliance with the current flight plan, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions when the Captain is not at the controls. Notifying the Captain of any changes to the flight plan, air traffic control instructions, or geographical position upon their return to the controls.
- Assisting the Captain as required with administrative duties related to the flight.
- Confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the aircraft and ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
- Maintaining a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times.
What You'll Bring:
Prospective candidates are required to meet the following minimum criteria to be considered:
- A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
- A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit or high performance military jet aircraft.
- 500 hours should be on one of the A320 Family aircraft.
- Must have flown any Airbus Fly-by-Wire (FBW) aircraft within the last 12 months.
- Type rating on A320 must be valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
- Hold an ICAO current and unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). Frozen ATPL is not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
- Must be current on A320 aircraft.
- Hold an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
- Maximum age limit is 50 years old.
- English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better.
Note on Hours Accumulation: In the case of hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours shall be counted towards the required minimums.
Definition of Glass Cockpit: Aircraft with a Flight Management System (FMS) coupled to an Auto Pilot Flight Director System (APFDS).
