Initial Assessment Event:

The Etihad Pilot Recruitment Team will be conducting an assessment event in Madrid. Applications for this specific event are currently accepted from pilots based in the Madrid area who are interested in the A320 First Officer position. Interested candidates who meet the required criteria are invited to submit their details for consideration. The team will contact suitable applicants to confirm next steps for the Madrid event. Information regarding future assessment events in other locations will be announced separately.

Key Responsibilities:

The First Officer plays a crucial role in the flight deck, supporting the Captain and ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of all flights. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting flight operations in strict compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions.
• Notifying the Captain of any changes to the flight plan, Air Traffic Control (ATC) clearances, or geographical position when the Captain is not at the controls.
• Assisting the Captain with administrative duties related to the flight as requested.
• Ensuring the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining continuous and independent checks on the aircraft's geographical position to ensure safe terrain and weather clearance.
• Upholding high personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times.

Required Skills and Experience:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 2500 total flying hours.
• Minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with a Flight Management System coupled to an Autopilot Flight Director System), or high-performance military jets.
• Minimum of 500 hours on the A320 Family aircraft.
• Experience flying any Airbus Fly-By-Wire aircraft within the last 12 months.
• A valid A320 Type Rating must be held for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
• Possession of a current and unrestricted ICAO Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). A Frozen ATPL is not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
• Must be currently current on the A320 aircraft type.
• Possession of a current and unrestricted Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Maximum age limit of 50 years at the time of application.
• Demonstrated English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better.
• For hours accumulated during flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted towards the required minimums.
