Job Purpose
The Pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the Airline Operational Manual and civil aviation authority regulations. This role ensures the ultimate safety, security, and efficiency of all operations, provides leadership and guidance to the flight and cabin crew, manages emergency or ad-hoc scenarios, and maintains a positive corporate image through professional flight performance.
Key Responsibilities

Operate assigned aircraft according to schedules and flight plans, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort.

Ensure all flight operations comply with the Airline’s Operations Manual and relevant regulatory standards.

Maintain personal fitness, legality, and grooming; conduct comprehensive pre-flight briefings for crew members.

Liaise with the First Officer, Second Officer, and Dispatch Team to confirm aircraft technical status, weather conditions, fuel requirements, weight, and crew roles.

Optimize fuel consumption within the safety constraints defined in the Operations Manual.

Direct crew in performing safety, security, fuel, and transit checks; execute emergency protocols and escalation procedures when necessary.

Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers, MCC, and MROs to monitor aircraft technical status and address defects.

Manage accurate documentation, including technical logbooks, journey books, and boarding reports, per regulatory requirements.

Maintain and ensure crew compliance with the Airline Operations Manual.

Stay current with legal requirements from civil aviation authorities, manufacturers, and relevant regulatory bodies.

Perform additional ground-based duties, such as Safety Officer or Security Officer, as assigned.
Qualifications

License:
Valid ATPL License is mandatory.

Assessments:
Must pass technical/psychometric assessments and medical fitness evaluations per airline and civil aviation standards.

Training:
Formal safety and emergency response training is required; additional certification in airport security procedures, Crew Resource Management (CRM), and IATA standards is considered an advantage.

Skills:
Proficient in aircraft systems and Microsoft Office; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write technical reports and deliver presentations.

Languages:
High proficiency in English; local language proficiency is an advantage.
Work Experience & Competencies

Minimum of 4,000 flight hours required; experience with Airbus 320 aircraft is preferred.

Experience within a low-cost airline environment is highly desirable.

Demonstrated knowledge of QA, safety, security, and audit procedures related to flight operations.

Ability to work in a high-pressure, changing environment with heavy workloads.
