Second in Command – Lear 60XR

Full Time – Miami, FL

Jet Linx is actively seeking qualified Second in Command candidates for a Midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Lear 60XR, to support Part 91 and 135 flight operations. This full-time position is based in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate resides or is willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the designated home base. The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and plays a crucial role in preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
Total Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
Total Turbine Time: 100 hours
Total Instrument Time: 150 hours

Essential Functions:

The Second in Command is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
Maintaining consistent communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and the submission of pre- and post-flight reports.
Effectively maintaining and managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
Ensuring navigation charts, aviation publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
Holding and maintaining a current 1st Class medical certificate.
Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making capabilities during all phases of flight operations.
Embodying Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.

Other Requirements:

Initial or Recurrent 142 training specific to type completed within the last 24 months is preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Possession of a current passport with unrestricted international travel capability is required, including the ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one is required.
Must hold a current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License is required.
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
Ability to authorize the release of and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational demands require.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
The majority of work is conducted in and around aircraft and aviation terminals.
Ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

Compensation and Benefits:

Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to its valued team members. The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $100,000 to $149,999.98. The actual base salary offered is determined based on factors including geographic location, aircraft size/crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
