Second in Command - Lear 45
Jet Linx is actively recruiting a qualified Second in Command to operate its Midsize jet aircraft for both Part 91 and 135 flight operations. This full-time position is based in Omaha, NE, and the successful candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the base area, maintaining a residence within a two-hour call-out time.
The Second in Command (SIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for contributing to the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Total flight time: 1500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 500 hours
- Multi-engine flight time: 500 hours
- Turbine flight time: 100 hours
- Instrument flight time: 150 hours
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to duty, flight, and rest time regulations as mandated by the company and CFRs.
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintain and manage all aspects of the electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and up-to-date.
- Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making abilities.

Additional Requirements:
- Preference for candidates with initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
- Ability to obtain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Ability to obtain an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate.
- Possession of a 1st Class Medical certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and comply with random drug/alcohol testing protocols.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
- The majority of work will be conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Must be able to frequently move up to 50 pounds.
