Position Overview
JSX is seeking a professional and safety-oriented ATR Captain to join our flight operations team. As a Pilot-in-Command, you will be responsible for operating aircraft safely and efficiently in compliance with all FAA regulations and JSX standard operating procedures. This role balances operational excellence with a commitment to providing a joyful, simple experience for our customers. The position requires a schedule averaging 3-5 legs per day, 14-16 days per month, with a focus on returning crew to home base.
Key Responsibilities

Pre-Flight Preparation:
Review flight details including maintenance status, NOTAMs, fuel loads, weather, and routing in Traxxall. Collaborate with the First Officer on arrival/departure strategies and conduct thorough aircraft walk-arounds.

In-Flight Operations:
Serve as the final authority on all flight decisions, maintaining consistent communication with Mission Control, ATC, ground operations, and flight attendants.

Post-Flight Duties:
Perform quick-turn tasks, including light cabin tidying, logging maintenance in Traxxall, and recording OOOI times.

General Duties:
Participate in recurrent training, maintain operational proficiency, assist with ground support (including baggage handling) at limited-service airports, and represent the company with high standards of professionalism.
Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship or status as a U.S. national.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2,500 total flight hours.

Minimum 2,000 hours PIC on the ATR.

Minimum 1,000 multi-engine hours.

Minimum 100 hours within the last 12 months.

Clean record: No FAA violations, accidents, incidents, or suspensions; no significant training/check ride failures.

Valid FAA Pilot Certificate appropriate to the aircraft.

Current and valid ATP or Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate.

Current and valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Current and valid FCC Radio Operator’s Permit.

Current and valid Driver’s License and Passport.
Preferred Qualifications

3,000+ total flight hours.

1,500+ multi-engine hours.
-
Current on ATR 42/72 within the last 3 years.

The role offers a 14-day minimum monthly salary, productivity pay, and quarterly bonuses. Benefits include:
