Role Overview
JSX is seeking an experienced ATR Captain to operate aircraft safely and efficiently while delivering exceptional service. This role involves typical schedules of 3-5 flight legs per day over 14-16 days per month, with a focus on returning crewmembers to their home base regularly.
Responsibilities

Pre-Flight:
Review flight details including maintenance status, NOTAMs, fuel, weather, and routing; coordinate strategies with the First Officer; perform aircraft walk-arounds and safety checks.

In-Flight:
Operate aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, JSX SOPs, and safety standards; maintain communication with Mission Control, Ground Operations, ATC, and Flight Attendants; serve as the final Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for operational decisions.

Post-Flight:
Assist with quick turn tasks (cabin tidying, trash collection); log maintenance in Traxxall; record OOOI times.

Additional Duties:
Participate in recurrent training; assist with ground baggage handling where necessary; represent JSX standards of safety and professionalism.
Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship or U.S. national status.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2500 total flight hours.

Minimum 2000 hours PIC on the ATR.

Minimum 1000 multi-engine hours.
-
Minimum 100 hours within the last 12 months.

No FAA violations, accidents, incidents, or suspensions.

No significant training or check ride failures.

Valid FAA Pilot Certificate appropriate to the position.

Current and valid Driver’s License and Passport.

Current and valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Current and valid ATP or Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate.

Current and valid FCC Radio Operator’s Permit.
Preferred Experience
-
3000+ total flight hours.
-
1500+ multi-engine hours.
-
Current on ATR 42/72 within the last 3 years.
