Position Summary
JSX is seeking a professional and safety-conscious ATR Captain to join our flight operations team. The Captain serves as the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and is responsible for the safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operation of our aircraft. This role focuses on delivering a high-quality flight experience while maintaining schedules that emphasize work-life balance, with a target of returning to the home base most nights.
Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive pre-flight duties, including review of maintenance status, NOTAMs, weather, and routing via Traxxall.

Collaborate with the First Officer to develop departure and arrival strategies and ensure thorough pre-flight safety checks.

Operate aircraft in strict accordance with FAA regulations, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety standards.

Maintain clear communication with Mission Control, ATC, Ground Operations, and cabin crew.

Execute post-flight duties including maintenance logging, confirming OOOI times, and assisting with light cabin preparation.

Participate in recurrent training and performance evaluations.

Support ground operations as necessary, including baggage handling at smaller airports.
Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship or status as a U.S. national.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2,500 total flight hours.
-
Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time on the ATR.

Minimum 1,000 multi-engine flight hours.
-
Minimum 100 flight hours within the last 12 months.

Valid FAA Pilot Certificate appropriate to the operating position.

Valid ATP or Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate.

Current and valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Current and valid Driver’s License and Passport.

Current and valid FCC Radio Operator’s Permit.

Clean record: No FAA violations, accidents, incidents, suspensions, or significant training/check ride failures.
Preferred Experience

3,000+ total flight hours.

1,500+ multi-engine flight hours.
-
Currency on ATR 42/72 within the last 3 years.
