Aviation Professional: Second in Command Pilot

This esteemed position requires a highly skilled and dedicated aviation professional to serve as Second in Command (SIC), playing a pivotal role in the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, and freight, or for other designated commercial purposes. The Second in Command will be accountable for comprehensive flight responsibilities, encompassing thorough preflight preparation, meticulous adherence to safety protocols during flight, and diligent completion of all post-flight duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all flight operations in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational integrity on all scheduled flights and routes.
  • Meticulously coordinate all pre-flight and in-flight tasks, encompassing flight fueling, cargo loading, passenger handling, and all associated duties required to transport passengers in a secure and professional manner, adhering strictly to company policies, the Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
  • Actively participate in all phases of flight, demonstrating a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a verifiable and extensive flight history, including one of the following:

  • A minimum of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time, fulfilling the requirements to serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) in Part 121 operations, as mandated by FAR § 121.436(a)(3). Documentary proof of this flight time will be required and verified with the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations during the interview process, via pilot logbooks.
  • A minimum of 200 hours of experience as Second in Command (SIC) at a Part 121 air carrier, as per FAR § 121.436(a)(3).
  • A minimum of 200 hours of experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) at a Part 91 carrier operating a multi-engine, turbine-powered fixed-wing or powered-lift aircraft. This must be accompanied by a current Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license and an applicable type rating, as stipulated by FAR § 91.1053(a)(2)(i).
