Second in Command Pilot – Airline Operations
This position requires a highly skilled and dedicated aviation professional to serve as Second in Command (SIC) in accordance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, freight, or other commercial cargo. They will actively contribute to all aspects of flight operations, encompassing pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform as Second in Command in all assigned flight operations, ensuring the safe transport of passengers, mail, freight, or other commercial cargo.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight preparations, including a meticulous review of all required paperwork and flight restrictions.
- Execute all flight duties with the utmost regard for safety, adhering to established procedures and best practices.
- Complete all post-flight duties accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain strict compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies.
- Execute scheduled flights and routes while prioritizing the safety of the aircraft, crew, and passengers.
- Coordinate effectively with ground personnel to facilitate flight fueling, loading, passenger handling, and all other associated logistical duties.
- Contribute to a safe and professional operational environment in full alignment with company policies, procedures, the Flight Operations Manual (FOM), FARs, and CFRs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time to serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) in part 121 operations, as stipulated by FAR § 121.436(a)(3). Candidates will be required to provide verifiable proof of meeting this flight time requirement.
- Prior qualifying time will be verified through a thorough review of pilot logbooks by the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations during the interview process.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 200 hours as Second in Command at a part 121 carrier (per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)).
- As a further alternative, a minimum of 200 hours as Pilot in Command at a part 91 carrier, operating a multi-engine turbine-powered fixed-wing or powered-lift aircraft, with a valid Airline Transport Pilot license and an applicable type rating (per FAR § 91.1053(a)(2)(i)).
