Second in Command Pilot
Minimum Flight Experience:
- A minimum of 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time as pilot in command in part 121 operations is required (as per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)). Candidates must provide verifiable proof of meeting this requirement. Pilot logbooks will be reviewed with the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations during the interview process.
- Alternatively, candidates must possess a minimum of 200 hours of flight time as second in command at a part 121 carrier (as per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)).
Job Summary:
The Second in Command Pilot plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, and freight. Responsibilities encompass all aspects of flight operations, including:
- Preflight Preparation: Thoroughly reviewing flight plans, weather conditions, and all required documentation to ensure a safe and compliant operation.
- Flight Execution: Collaborating closely with the Pilot in Command to safely and efficiently execute all phases of flight, adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), Company Flight Procedures, and Company Policies.
- Post Flight Duties: Completing all necessary post-flight documentation and procedures.
- Ground Operations Coordination: Liaising with ground crew and handling agents to facilitate smooth fueling, loading, and passenger handling operations.
