The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Corporate Aircraft Captain. This role is categorized as "hybrid" and will have a combination of flight time, office/hanger time, and remote work from home. This role is based out of Milwaukee General Mitchell Airport.

Job Summary

The Aircraft Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of assigned flights in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations. Specific responsibilities include: maintain proficiency as an Aircraft Captain, operate Company aircraft with a constant focus on safety, efficiency, reliability, quality and value added. Actively participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures and perform collateral duties related to the general activities of the Aviation Department as assigned.

Average of 250 flight hours per year.
90% Domestic flying.
On call availability customary in business aviation operations is expected.
High quality of life with ample vacation and personal days.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate Company aircraft with a constant focus on safety, efficiency, reliability, quality and value
  • Keep abreast of new and changing technology and methods that enhance skill set. This can be accomplished through continuing education at flight training, industry events and seminars, associated reading, and other related training opportunities.
  • Interact with variety of stake holders via various communication mediums (both written and/or verbal).
  • Determine ways to continuously improve processes and responsibilities in their job.
  • Maintain highest level of customer service attainable.


Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements

Required
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related business aviation experience
Applicants must possess an Airline Transport Pilot certificate (ATP) with an Airplane Multiengine land rating and a current First-Class medical certificate.
A minimum of 5000 hours total flight experience in the Category and Class aircraft to be operated.
A minimum of 2000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
This position requires highly developed people skills and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Live within 45 min drive of General Mitchell International Airport
Preferred
CL30 Type Rating Preferred
International Experience with operational understanding of CPDLC, FANS, ATN B1
Understanding of ISBAO and Business Aviation best practices.
