King Air Pilot Opportunity in Gallup, New Mexico
Aviation professionals are invited to apply for a King Air Pilot position based in Gallup, New Mexico. This role involves providing critical medical air transportation services, operating King Air C90 aircraft. The position offers a 14 days on/21 days off schedule with day and night flight operations. The successful candidate will be a safety-conscious individual committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care for crew and patients.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary range of $109,401.12 to $120,298.03 annually.
- A $15,000 sign-on bonus is provided upon successful completion of training and checkride (no training contract required).
- A $40,000 retention bonus is offered upon completion of a 6-month waiting period, as part of a 3-year program.
- $3,000 relocation assistance.
- Company-provided crew housing.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land (C-AMEL) certification is mandatory. Must be willing and able to obtain Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate within 5 years of employment.
- Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
- Valid and unexpired driver's license.
- A minimum of 2,500 total flight hours.
- 2,000 fixed-wing flight hours.
- 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) flight hours.
- 500 cross-country flight hours.
- 500 multi-engine flight hours.
- 100 night flight hours.
- 75 instrument flight hours (50 actual).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a medical team to ensure the safe transportation of patients to and from designated locations and facilities.
- Maintain aircraft readiness for all flight operations, adhering to all company procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), and ensure aircraft cleanliness.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of company and regulatory documentation, including flight logs and load manifests.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with air and ground dispatch, flight crews, medical facilities, and other stakeholders.
- Provide detailed shift change information to the incoming pilot and team, and adhere to company protocols for change board updates.
- Maintain all required certifications and participate in ongoing ground and flight training programs.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to outside weather conditions is required.
- May be required to perform de-icing of aircraft, assist with aircraft towing, maneuvering in and out of the hangar, and general preparation of the aircraft for flight.
Physical Demands:
- Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- May need to assist with loading patients which involves lifting requirements up to 70 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
