First Officer - Cargo Operations (SIC)
Metro Aviation is seeking qualified First Officers (SIC) to join our cargo operations team. Job Duties
- Maintain professional communication skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of freight.
- Operate aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
- Prioritize flight crew member safety and provide exemplary customer service.
- Document and communicate aircraft deficiencies for maintenance review and correction.
- Perform flights in various conditions, including day, night, and weather.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine land and instrument rating.
- Current Instrument Proficiency Check.
- English Proficiency (ICAO Level 4).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Current Passport (passport cards are not accepted).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift up to 125 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft.
- Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and other required background checks.
- Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to the assigned base and travel extensively.
- Ability to work various shifts, overtime, and after-hour call outs.
Basic Qualifications
- 800 hours Total Time (TT).
- 250 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 75 hours Multi-Engine (ME).
- 40 hours Turbine.
- Part 135 experience, familiarity with company aircraft, and/or previous cargo experience are highly preferable.
- An iPad is required when reporting for duty.
- Must relocate to the El Paso, Texas base.
