Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Pilot. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nations core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Acts as pilot in command (PIC) of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled. Complies with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation. Ensures that preflight inspections are performed. Studies weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points. Prepares flight plans. Makes decisions necessary to start, delay or cancel flights and deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate. Ensures compliance with all Federal, state, local and foreign regulations, as well as the policies and procedures specified in the company operations manual. Ensures that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (multi-engine land)
Current FAA First Class Medical certification
4500 hours total pilot time
3500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
2500 hours turbine time
250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight (excludes simulator time)
Preferred Corporate pilot experience
Gulfstream G-280 type rating preferred
Additional duties required assigned by Chief Pilot
