Instructor - Flight Operations
Frontier Airlines is seeking a qualified Instructor of Flight Operations to deliver exceptional simulator training to its pilots. This individual will utilize flight training devices (FTD) and full flight simulators (FFS) to conduct initial and upgrade training programs in accordance with Frontier Airlines and FAA regulations. The position is a full-time, salaried role with benefits, based in Aurora, CO, requiring availability for at least 16 training days per month.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate initial and upgrade training programs covering A320 systems, Frontier Airlines policies and procedures, applicable FAA Regulations, and emergency procedures.
- Prepare students for successful flight evaluations through high-quality training and constructive feedback.
- Manage training tasks, including lesson planning, classroom and simulator setup, and maintaining current aviation publications and training materials.
- Maintain detailed records of all training activities, participants, and outcomes.
- Assist senior instructors and department managers as needed.
- Contribute to course design and development.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Flight Training to identify and resolve training-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of previous simulator instructor/evaluator or other relevant training experience is strongly preferred.
- Part 121 aircraft training experience preferred.
- ATP certification with an A320 type rating preferred.
- Must hold the appropriate airman certificate, class rating, and type rating.
- Completion of Frontier Airlines Training or bridge program on the A320 Series and required recurrent training, if required.
- Current Proficiency Check (PC) and/or Proficiency Training (PT), if required.
- Completion of the Frontier Airlines Simulator Instructor or bridge training curriculum, if required.
- Upon completion of instructor training, the candidate must demonstrate a competent ability to perform all curriculum segments and associated duties of the assigned training program to the satisfaction of the Director, Flight Ops Training, or their designee.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, Frontier Airlines policies, and procedures.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) to facilitate training.
- Ability to operate A320 Simulator/FTD.
- Possesses an above-average level of knowledge, ability, and experience.
- Maintains a good record of compliance with the Frontier Reliability program (if applicable).
- Must not have more than one training/checking failure within a rolling two years.
- Meets standards of good conduct.
- Maintains a good record of compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Compensation:
- External candidates are scheduled and paid for a minimum of 16 events per month.
- Internal candidates receive a minimum pay of 88 hours per month, equaling $150,000 annually.
