A&P Aviation Mechanic
This position contributes to a skilled team of A&P mechanics performing essential inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a diverse range of piston aircraft. The successful candidate will be a dedicated A&P aviation mechanic possessing the temperament to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety and quality standards. Technicians in this role are expected to navigate proficiently through a computerized logbook management system, strictly adhere to maintenance and manufacturer manuals, and consistently exercise safety-focused judgment in daily operations. The ideal candidate will integrate quickly into the team, demonstrate a positive attitude, and bring valuable General Aviation experience working on piston-powered aircraft, with a preference for experience involving Cessna and Piper models.
Responsibilities
- Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in strict accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policies.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of aircraft maintenance records through proper documentation and completion of required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Execute all job duties in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- Possesses two or more years of experience in piston-powered aircraft maintenance.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer manuals.
- Possesses adequate tools necessary for the role.
Desired Qualifications:
- Holds a valid FAA Inspection Authorization.
- Holds a Private Pilot’s License.
- Possesses experience in avionics troubleshooting, particularly with Garmin integrated avionics systems.
Physical Demands
The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks including, but not limited to: squatting/kneeling for extended periods, making fast and repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists, standing for extended periods, lifting/carrying more than 50 pounds of various items, maneuvering the body to enter confined spaces, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching out, using stomach and lower back muscles for support without fatigue, coordinating limb movements while remaining stationary, engaging in physical activity for long periods without fatigue, maintaining balance in unstable positions, climbing to enter and exit aircraft using steps/handles, making quick and precise adjustments to machine controls, climbing and standing on ladders, walking, reading, pushing/pulling, speaking, bending/stooping, hearing, and writing.
A background check and drug screening are required for this position.
