Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P Mechanic)
Our team is seeking a skilled and motivated Aviation Maintenance Technician, holding an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate, to join our dynamic general aviation maintenance operation. This position is integral to performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on piston aircraft. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety and quality standards. The technician will be proficient in navigating computerized logbook management systems, strictly adhering to maintenance and manufacturer manuals, and consistently making safety-focused decisions in daily tasks. A positive attitude, ability to integrate quickly, and extensive experience with piston-powered general aviation aircraft, particularly Cessna and Piper models, are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently troubleshoot, maintain, and repair aircraft in strict accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policies.
- Ensure accurate and consistent aircraft maintenance records through proper documentation, completion of required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries.
- Adhere diligently to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
- Execute other duties as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on maintenance experience with piston-powered aircraft.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
- Possession of an adequate set of personal tools suitable for aircraft maintenance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Holding an FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
- Possession of a Private Pilot's License.
- Experience in avionics troubleshooting, particularly with Garmin integrated avionics systems.
Physical Demands:
The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks associated with aircraft maintenance, including but not limited to: squatting/kneeling for extended periods, repetitive hand/finger movements, standing for prolonged periods, lifting/carrying items weighing over 50 pounds, maneuvering into confined spaces, bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, supporting body weight using core muscles, coordinating limb movements, sustaining physical activity, maintaining balance in unstable positions, climbing aircraft steps/handles, making precise control adjustments, climbing/standing on ladders, walking, pushing/pulling, speaking, bending/stooping, hearing, and writing.
Background Check and Drug Screening:
Successful candidates will be required to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
