Pilot - Private Jet Travel
Position Overview
Flexjet, an award-winning leader in high-end private jet travel, is actively seeking customer service-driven Pilots to enhance its esteemed team. This critical role involves operating assigned Flexjet aircraft for both domestic and international flights, ensuring the utmost safety and comfort for Flexjet owners during their scheduled rotations. Key Responsibilities
- Functionally reports to the Pilot-in-Command on all flights.
- Performs all flight duties and any specific responsibilities assigned by command.
- Maintains a superior degree of crew coordination, executing duties with professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy at all times.
- Reports to the Fleet Chief Pilot for duty assignments and training protocols.
- Engages passengers with a welcoming demeanor, assisting with seating arrangements and luggage stowage.
- Conducts comprehensive passenger briefings to ensure clarity and comfort.
- Provides essential support during emergency evacuation procedures.
- Strictly adheres to all duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Crew Flight Manual and Flight Deck Handbook.
- Maintains a current medical certificate as mandated by the Company. Notifies the Assistant Chief Pilot promptly if any medical condition (physical or mental) could potentially impair flight capabilities.
- Undertakes other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates must meet ATP minimum flight time requirements, including successful completion of the written examination and qualification to undertake the practical check ride.
- Flight time quality is highly valued; military experience, Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time, turbine aircraft experience, and familiarity with Flexjet's specific airframes are given special consideration.
- Competitive applicants will possess the following:
- A minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- A current First Class Medical Certificate.
- A valid passport.
- The ability to obtain a CANPASS permit (Canadian Customs program).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in Part 135/91K or corporate aircraft operations is highly desirable.
- Applicants must hold the legal right to work in the United States and be capable of traveling in and out of the U.S. to all cities and countries served by Flexjet.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135, Part 91 Subpart K, and Part 91.
- Comprehensive understanding of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and advanced multitasking capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities, are essential for performing the role at the expected standard.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, email, and web-based software.
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Must present a consistently well-groomed and professional appearance.
