Position Summary

This professional aviator will function as an integral member of a flight crew, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned Flexjet aircraft on both domestic and international routes. This role ensures a secure and comfortable flight experience for Flexjet owners and passengers throughout their scheduled journeys.

Duties and Responsibilities

This individual will be functionally accountable to the Captain for all flying duties. They will uphold the highest standards of personal discipline, conduct, and appearance, representing the Company with utmost professionalism. This professional will actively support the Captain in fostering a high standard of professional expertise and crew morale, while also assisting in maintaining proper crew discipline, conduct, and personal presentation. They will execute flight duties in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations, and performance related to the specific aircraft type, as delegated by the Captain. They will proactively offer advice, information, and assistance to the Captain, contributing positively to the safety and efficiency of each flight. All known or suspected violations or incidents must be reported immediately to the Fleet Manager. The individual will maintain a current medical certificate as mandated by the Company and notify the Fleet Manager of any medical condition that could potentially impair their ability to perform flight duties. They will assist the Captain with administrative tasks related to the flight, and ensure a high level of crew coordination, consistently performing all duties in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. This pilot will be accountable to the Fleet Manager for duty assignments and training. They will greet passengers, assist with seating and luggage, and deliver passenger briefings as needed. The role also entails performing other duties as required by the needs of the business.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. The candidate must hold a valid EASA ATPL and a Valid UK ATPL (either one may be in the application process). They must have a minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time, including 500 hours as Pilot in Command Under Supervision, and 250 hours of Multi Pilot Instrument Time. An ME-IR (A) on EASA License and an MCC Course certificate or MP Rating on EASA License is mandatory. This position requires a valid EASA Class 1 Medical certificate, a valid EU Passport, and an English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 5 or higher. Previous experience in Commercial Air Transport and Corporate operations is highly desirable. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Europe and/or the UK, and have the ability to travel in and out of Europe and to all cities/countries where Flexjet provides service. Flexibility to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and overnight trips is required. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of Initial Training, including a Type Rating on the assigned fleet.

Required Skills

A comprehensive understanding of all applicable EASA and UK Regulations is essential. The individual must demonstrate strong organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking capabilities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills are required to successfully perform at the expected level. They must be proficient in operating computer applications including word processing, email, and web-based platforms. They must possess a meticulous attention to detail and work collaboratively within a team environment. A well-groomed appearance is a requisite for this role.

Working Conditions

This position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, including extreme heat and cold, high and precarious places, outdoor weather conditions and vibration, as well as chemicals such as aviation fuels and lavatory fluid. The noise level in this work environment is frequently loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Requirements

In addition to the requirements for holding a Class 1 Medical certificate, the pilot must be capable of performing daily operational tasks associated with aircraft operation. This includes, but is not limited to: loading and unloading of baggage, completing thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, assisting with snow and ice removal during inclement weather, installation and removal of engine covers, and the daily cleaning of the aircraft. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 23 kgs.
