Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G280 aircraft based in Raleigh-Durham, NC (KRDU). This long-term opportunity involves primarily Part 91 operations with some Part 135 work, supporting a distinguished aircraft owner as part of a three-pilot crew.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role involves ensuring crewing and trip assignments adhere to regulatory requirements, conducting flight planning, performance, and weight-and-balance calculations, and leading briefings using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks. The PIC will follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinate with company personnel, and serve as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator. Key responsibilities include pre-flight aircraft tasks, checking maintenance status, monitoring ground services, delivering exceptional customer service to passengers, and utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear communication during all operations. The position also requires maintaining required training and recency, complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns.
